Peter Blackstock is a senior editor at Grove Atlantic in New York. His list includes fiction, nonfiction, and drama, with a focus on international writing and books in translation. Among his authors are the Pulitzer Prize-winning author Viet Thanh Nguyen, the Academy Award-nominated actor Jesse Eisenberg, and the Booker-longlisted writer Eve Harris, alongside house authors like Will Self, Tom Stoppard, and the estates of William S. Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg. In translation, his authors include Julia Franck, Marceline Loridan-Ivens, Andrus Kivirähk, Annick Cojean, Ismail Kadare, and Sayaka Murata. His fiction acquisitions include Viet Thanh Nguyen's The Sympathizer, winner of the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and six other awards, as well as Nguyen's next two books, The Refugees and The Committed; Academy-Award-nominated actor Jesse Eisenberg's fiction debut, Bream Gives Me Hiccups; Miss Burma, the second novel by Charmaine Craig; Eve Harris's The Marrying of Chani Kaufman, longlisted for the Booker prize; Akutagawa Prize-winning Sayaka Murata's Convenience Store Woman and Other Stories; North Korean short story collection The Accusation by Bandi; and the debut novel Fobbit by David Abrams, shortlisted for the Art Seidenbaum first novel award. In nonfiction, his acquisitions include Marceline Loridan-Ivens's memoir But You Did Not Come Back, translated from the French by Sandra Smith; Gaddafi's Harem by Le Monde journalist Annick Cojean; Lingo by Gaston Dorren; and a cultural history of the first two decades of the twentieth century in Russia, The Other Revolution by Rosamund Bartlett. He also works with house authors including Tom Stoppard, Will Self, Andrew Keen, Karl Marlantes, Julia Franck, Ismail Kadare, and with the estates of William S.
